The Full Story

Harbour Vest

"Inspired by the East Neuk of Fife, a collection of rural Scottish coastal villages, decorated with fishing equipment; from weathered ropes to mismatched piles of tattered lobster pots. A coastal line filled with texture." - Journey Through Yarn

The Yarn

Knitted in Samite Silk Blend DK from Blacker Yarns - a bouncy yarn that will show off the textures.

The Samite Silk Blend is inspired by the King Arthur's legends.

It's woollen spun, with the characteristic bounce of Shetland, and more durable because of the silk.

15% Recycled Silk 85% Pure Wool · DK · c.240m (c.262 yds) / 100g · 4mm needle · 20 sts by 28 rows to 10cm

Construction

The Harbour Vest is a comfy slipover worked top-down; the yoke is worked flat and joined in the round for the body.

With cables on both front and back panels, and seeded stitches on the side, this is a quick and rhythmic knit that will fly though your needles.

Perfect for advanced beginners who want to try out the chunky cables!

You’ll need 3 skeins for the smallest size, up to 7 for largest size.
